Data Center Operation

Job Responsibilities:

1.       Develop and monitor the IT equipment installation process and ensure that the supplier strictly adheres to the specifications

2.       Manage IT equipment installation, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and monitoring the quality of work.

3.       Review and approve IT equipment installation plans to ensure compliance with data center regulations and security requirements

4.       Supervise the whole process of IT equipment installation, cabling, configuration, and testing to ensure that the acceptance specifications are met.

5.       Monitor the spare parts replacement process, including fault diagnosis, spare parts application, replacement, and test verification.

6.       Performs routine inspections of data center equipment to ensure that all equipment is operating properly and capacity requirements are met.

7.       Quickly respond to and handle emergencies and faults to ensure the stability and security of the equipment room.

8.       Review and optimize the spare parts management system to improve the spare parts utilization and replacement efficiency.

9.       Coordinate with the supplier to maintain devices and rectify faults, and ensure that the specified process and time requirements are complied with.

10.    Regularly assess the quality of work performed by suppliers, provide feedback and drive improvement

11.    Manage the internal IT O&M team and train team members to master the latest IT equipment management and troubleshooting skills.

12.    Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for IT equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting

13.    Work with Procurement to ensure that purchased IT equipment and spare parts meet the technical requirements and compatibility standards of the data center

Job requirements:

1.       English skill is a must

2.       Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Network Engineering or related field

3.       Data center IT O&M experience is preferred

4.       In-depth knowledge of installation, configuration and maintenance processes for servers, storage and networking equipment

5.       IT project management experience, familiar with the planning and execution of IT equipment installation projects

6.       Excellent people management skills with the ability to effectively manage and coordinate installers and technicians

7.       In-depth knowledge of data center operational security practices and procedures

8.       Professional certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, and ITIL will be a bonus

9.       Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, PPT, Excel, etc.

10.    Excellent vendor management skills, with experience in managing IT outsourcing services

11.    Strong problem analysis, problem-solving and decision-making skills with a strong sense of responsibility
