Job Description
About the Role
We’re seeking a Backend Developer with strong experience in PDF parsing and data structuring to build the core pipelines for our AI-powered HVAC automation system. You’ll be responsible for processing PDF schematics, extracting layout and measurement data, and structuring the output into Excel-compatible formats.
Key Responsibilities
Parse raster/vector PDFs using tools like PyMuPDF, pdfminer, pdf2image.
Implement logic to extract coordinate, scale, and annotation data from technical drawings.
Work with CV engineers to integrate model outputs and apply positional matching.
Develop Excel export pipelines using Pandas, OpenPyxl, or similar tools.
Build internal APIs for downstream use (e.g., React frontend integration).
Write modular, testable, and scalable code with clear documentation.
Requirements
Strong Python development skills with experience in PDF and document processing.
Experience building backend pipelines and data transformation logic.
Knowledge of geometric libraries like Shapely or OpenCV is a plus.
Familiarity with FastAPI or Flask for API endpoints.
Ability to collaborate with ML and annotation teams.
(Bonus) Experience working with scaled drawings or AutoCAD exports.
