Senior Computer Vision Engineer (3D Tracking & AR)
About the Role:
We are a cutting-edge AR company with a proprietary 3D tracking engine, seeking a senior computer vision expert to advance our core technology and deliver immersive AR experiences. In this role, you’ll tackle challenges in real-time 3D tracking, sensor fusion, and spatial understanding, working closely with our AR/Unity developers to optimize performance for mobile devices. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize 3D computer vision algorithms (e.g., SLAM, 3D reconstruction, object tracking) for real-time AR applications.
- Integrate computer vision solutions into Unity for iOS deployment, ensuring performance and efficiency on mobile hardware.
- Collaborate with AR engineers to bridge computer vision models with Unity’s rendering pipeline.
- Optimize algorithms and approaches for mobile devices (CPU/GPU constraints, Metal framework, ARKit&ARCore integration).
- Stay ahead of advancements in 3D computer vision, sensor fusion, and edge-based machine learning.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead technical decision-making for vision-related features.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in 3D computer vision (SLAM, multi-view geometry, point cloud processing, or sensor fusion).
- Proficiency in C++ and experience with Unity/C# (our software is Unity-based).
- Proven track record of deploying real-time computer vision solutions on mobile platforms.
- Familiarity with OpenCV, Eigen, Ceres Solver, or similar libraries.
- Experience with ARKit, ARCore and iOS, Android performance profiling tools (Instruments, Xcode).
- Strong understanding of 3D mathematics.
- Bonus: Experience with neural networks for 3D tasks (e.g., depth estimation, 3D object detection).
Nice-to-Haves:
- Up to date with research in computer vision/AR (CVPR, ICCV, SIGGRAPH, etc.).
- Experience with AR cloud or persistent spatial anchor systems.
- Knowledge of Metal API or GPU optimization for iOS.
- Familiarity with Swift/Objective-C for native iOS plugin development.
