Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated new team members to join our team.
Kubernetes Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters (Rancher distribution) deployed across on-premises or cloud environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of containerized workloads. The role involves collaboration with developers, SREs, DevOps engineers, security experts, and architects to deliver reliable and efficient container orchestration solutions.

Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration, and management of Kubernetes clusters using Rancher.
- Manage cluster upgrades, scaling, and lifecycle operations across multiple environments (dev, staging, prod).
- Implement and manage access control, RBAC policies, and security best practices within Kubernetes.
- Monitor cluster performance, resource utilization, and costs; identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Define and implement backup, disaster recovery, and cluster resiliency strategies.
- Create and enforce standards and policies for namespaces, networking, storage classes, and container images.
- Automate cluster operations, deployments, and maintenance tasks using IaC tools (Terraform, Helm, Ansible) or scripting (Python, Bash, Go).
- Ensure workloads meet SLAs and business continuity requirements.
- Participate in on-call rotation and lead incident response for Kubernetes-related alerts.
- Maintain up-to-date runbooks, topology diagrams, and operational documentation.
Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role (Kubernetes Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or SRE).
- Strong proficiency in Unix/Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Rancher, and container technologies (Docker, containerized).
- Experience in monitoring, networking, security, storage, and CI/CD integrations within Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm).
- Understanding of networking concepts (Ingress, Service Mesh, CNI).
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Nice to have
- Experience with major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, Huawei Cloud, etc.).
- Rancher, Kubernetes, or cloud certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS, AWS/GCP/Azure certifications).
- Scripting or coding experience in Python, GoLang, or Bash.
- Familiarity with GitOps, ArgoCD, or Flux for deployment automation.
- Working experience in enterprise customers.
