Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team. 

Cloud Engineer is responsible for delivering 2-3 clients’ cloud implementation projects in parallel by understanding and translating the clients’ business use cases to design and implement an integrated solution suitable to their needs. Cloud Engineer interacts with different internal and external roles like developers, SREs, security experts, solutions architects, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of cloud-based services running on cloud infrastructure and ensure that they meet the business objectives and adhere to service level agreements (SLA).
• Deploy and maintain critical applications on cloud-native microservices architecture.
• Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code
• Investigate new techniques, tools, methods that might increase efficiency among engineering & technology and cloud teams, as well as leading execution processes of topics evaluated & planned for roll-out.
• Collaborate with other technical leaders and business stakeholders to align all constraints and come up with solutions regarding project/product/initiative outputs.
• Perform pre-sales consultancy by supporting status quo in client meetings, help the client decide the solutions & service in alignment with expectations, help Account, New Business & Engineering stakeholders to define strategy & offerings (specific to a project)
• Be accountable for the reliability and security of cloud infrastructure and services.
• Provide visibility of performance, cost, and the security of cloud infrastructure and services.
• Drive continuous improvement, continuous delivery, and lean practices within the cloud team.
• Keep up to date on modern technologies and trends and advocate for their inclusion within products when it makes sense.
• Identify emerging technology solutions that reduce cost, increase efficiencies, enhance capabilities, reduce risk and improve security.
• Ensure that all cloud technology applications create a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate or otherassociate level certificate is a must
• 2+ years of similar job experience
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environmentsincluding Bash scripting
• Experience in network, security, monitoring, compute, containerization, data, application integration, cost optimization, performance enhancement services and technologies on cloud
• Understanding of cloud architecture design
• Cloud cost optimization
• Fluent in written and spoken English

Nice to have

• Knowledge of other cloud providers such as Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud, etc.
• AWS Pro/Specialty level certificates
• Code development in Python, Golang
• Experience with relational or noSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra etc.)
