Responsibilities:

• Conduct data analysis, address data issues, implement and report data science steps.
• Develop data preprocessing, hyperparameter optimization, model evaluation, model update, and inference pipelines.
• Design ML products for forecasting, regression, classification, and NLP tasks.
• Fine-tune and serve commercial & open-source LLM-based AI applications.
• Develop RAG-based information retrieval systems.
• Develop and maintain software infrastructure for ML model training, evaluation, versioning, testing, deployment, serving, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Develop microservices for analytical tasks and function-as-a-service applications.
• Optimize resource management for AI / ML development and serving.
• Participate in design, facilitate discussions, and align on architectural and strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to identify customer needs and project objectives.
• Conduct code reviews and documentation.
• Contribute to R&D processes by researching, designing, and reporting.
• Stay updated on state-of-the-art technologies and deliver proof-of-concept programs to evaluate their relevance to product requirements.

Qualifications:

• BSc degree in Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience (after BSc degree) in data science and AI / ML engineering roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm analysis, and programming patterns.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end ML lifecycle.
• Strong experience with ML and deep learning libraries.
• Ability and motivation to self-teach, enter new domains, and manage ambiguity.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.

Preferred / Nice-to-have Qualifications:

• A MSc degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
• Understanding explainable AI concepts and applications.
• Hands-on experience with frameworks for building and integrating LLM-based applications.
• Hands-on experience in Java programming.
• Experience with cloud-based AI services.
• Experience with DevOps & MLOps tools such as Git, CI, Mlflow, Airflow, W&B, DVC, Kubeflow, TFX, TorchServe, or similar.
• Expertise in implementing data infrastructures and data engineering technologies.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes technologies for ML applications.
• Familiarity with modern big data solutions and distributed computing technologies.
