Engineering Manager, Routing Infrastructure and Analytics

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software engineering or similar.
• 3 years of experience in engineering and technical leadership with people management.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee routing security, routing safety and auto test programs.
• Work closely with the team leads, provide technical and non-technical direction to the entire team, and build a productive team.
• Oversee and contribute to the design and development of new control systems features, including Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)/routing security and safety mechanisms at the internet edge and in the network core.
• Participate in the engineering efforts within the team, and with partner teams, from design to implementation, solving complex technical issues around scalable control of Google’s production network traffic.
• Manage the productionization, deployment, and operation of control systems and tools in collaboration with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and other Engineering teams.
