Data Engineer – Feature Store Specialist

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with a strong focus on Feature Store architecture and implementation to join our team for a 6–9 month project. You will play a key role in designing and implementing a centralized Feature Store to support machine learning pipelines across batch and real-time use cases. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and hands-on implementation of a centralized Feature Store using Feast, Tecton, or custom solutions
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Spark, Beam, or similar technologies
• Enable real-time and batch data ingestion, transformation, and feature serving
• Work closely with ML and MLOps teams to support model training and inference use cases
• Ensure strong data modeling practices tailored for machine learning workflows
• Maintain documentation and best practices for long-term maintainability

Required Skills:

• Experience with Feature Store technologies (e.g., Feast, Tecton, Vertex AI Feature Store internals)
• Hands-on experience in data pipeline development using Spark, Apache Beam, or similar frameworks
• Knowledge of stream processing tools (e.g., Kafka, Google Pub/Sub)
• Strong SQL skills and data modeling experience for ML applications
• Familiarity with cloud-native data architectures (GCP preferred)

Nice to Have:

• Experience integrating custom feature stores with Vertex AI or other cloud-native ML platforms
• Prior work in high-scale production ML systems
• Familiarity with MLOps concepts and tooling
