Network Security Engineer

Qualifications & Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Network Security or Blue Team roles
• Advanced knowledge of FortiGate firewalls
• Experience analyzing SIEM alerts (Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with EDR/XDR tools (SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, etc.)
• Strong understanding of NAC (FortiNAC / Cisco ISE) and ZTNA
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLAN, Routing, DNS, DHCP)
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of email security

Responsibilities

Network Security & Monitoring

• Manage FortiGate firewalls (policies, NAT/VIP, IPS/IDS, SSL inspection)
• Maintain segmentation structures (Prod, UAT, DMZ, PCI CDE)
• Secure VPN, reverse proxy, and load balancer environments
• Manage ZTNA and NAC processes (802.1X, access control, device trust)
• Monitor network traffic and analyze anomalies
• Analyze critical SIEM alerts and validate security events
• Manage EDR/XDR incidents (investigation, quarantine, remediation)
• Conduct proactive threat hunting across network/endpoints
• Participate in incident response activities (containment, RCA)

Email & Log Security

• Review logs across firewall, endpoint, AD, proxy, mail gateway
• Manage anti-spam, anti-phishing, DMARC, DKIM, SPF configurations
• Investigate suspicious emails and support users

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain documentation (firewall, NAC, ZTNA, log management)
• Prepare network topology and security diagrams
• Support PCI DSS requirements (1.x and 10.x controls)
• Provide periodic reporting on network and security improvements
