Job Description
The Bilkent University IT Department is responsible for developing, managing, and continuously improving the university’s digital ecosystem, which supports thousands of students, faculty, researchers, and administrative staff.
Our team leads enterprise-level software development, infrastructure services, data management, and digital transformation initiatives across the campus.
As part of our modernization strategy, we are redesigning legacy systems, building new platforms, and adopting modern architectures to enhance the quality, security, and scalability of all digital services. We are expanding our team with skilled professionals who will contribute to shaping the future of Bilkent University’s technology landscape.
The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to lead requirements analysis, process modelling, and solution design activities across multiple software projects. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, developers to transform complex university processes into clear, scalable, and well-documented digital solutions. You will contribute to both functional and technical analysis, playing a key role in Bilkent University’s end-to-end digital transformation roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business needs through BRDs, functional specifications, and clear requirement artifacts.
- Model business processes, prepare wireframes/user flows, and define UI/UX expectations where needed.
- Analyze existing systems and integrations, propose improvements, and contribute to architectural and feasibility assessments.
- Collaborate closely with developers on data models, integration points, and application logic to ensure accurate requirement translation.
- Prepare test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and support UAT planning and execution.
-Support enterprise architecture and modernization initiatives by maintaining application inventories and process documentation.
- Facilitate requirement workshops, manage change requests, and ensure transparent communication across IT and business units.
- Prepare user guides and provide training to end users when required.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
-5+ years of experience in business analysis or software project roles.
-Strong command of requirement gathering, process modelling, documentation standards, and analysis methodologies.
-Experience using Jira and Confluence for requirement tracking and documentation.
-Preferably able to read/write SQL; familiar with UI/UX concepts and Agile/Scrum frameworks.
-Professional certifications (PSM, PSPO, or equivalent) are a plus.
-Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; advanced English proficiency.
